A team event where everyone actually talks

A murder mystery written around your team: every player gets a character, a secret, and a reason to talk to colleagues they usually only see in standups. You set it in your own industry. No facilitator, no stage — print it, hand it out, play.

Before you ask

Let's deal with your doubts first

Every team has the skeptic, the introvert, and the person with no time. The game is built for them.

The skeptic

“This is going to be cringe.”

Nobody performs on a stage. Each player works from a printed dossier with concrete goals per round — it plays like a puzzle with characters, not improv theatre. And you choose the tone: a serious whodunit or an openly silly comedy.

The introvert

“The quiet ones will hate it.”

The game runs on one-on-one conversations, not group performance. Your quietest analyst holds a clue somebody else needs — people come to them. There are no spectator roles: all 4 to 20 players are part of the plot.

The calendar

“I don't have time to organize an event.”

Answer a few questions in the wizard, and about 15 minutes later your complete kit is generated. Print the PDFs, hand them out, press play on the narration. The host guide tells everyone exactly what to do in each round — and you get to play too.

HR

“A murder… at a work event?”

Then nobody dies. Pick an Intrigue case instead of a Murder case and the mystery becomes a theft, a blackmail note, or a leaked secret — the same investigation with workplace-friendly stakes.

No one sits out

Everyone gets a role. Everyone gets a secret.

A sample cast for a fictional company offsite — tap a card to see what each player is hiding.

Your actual cast is written for your setting and headcount — 4 to 20 characters, each with their own printed dossier, motives, and round-by-round goals.

Your setting

Set it in your own industry

Setting, era, and occasion are free text — so the case can play out at a logistics company's warehouse party or on the top floor of your actual office building. A built-in “Corporate High Stakes” occasion gives you a starting point.

Setting

Your industry, your office, a trade fair, the company ski cabin — you describe the place, and the mystery is written inside it.

Cast

Create custom characters: names, gender, traits, habits, even catchphrases. The AI keeps clues, motives, and the reveal consistent after every change.

Tone

Serious whodunit or comedy — and Murder or Intrigue, where nobody dies. You decide what fits your team.

Length

Choose 1–2, 2–3, or 3+ hours — a long lunch slot or the whole offsite evening.

When to play it

Made for the team calendar

Offsite or away day

The evening slot is the hardest one to fill. A case set in your own industry beats a second icebreaker round — and the debrief carries into dinner.

Quarterly kickoff

Open the quarter with colleagues interrogating each other instead of watching slides — you can even set the case around the product you're about to launch.

New joiners & merged teams

Twenty names are hard to learn from an org chart. Give every name a secret, and the new colleagues will know the whole cast by the reveal.

Project wrap-up

Ship it, then investigate it: turn the wrap-up party into a case where the prototype — or the credit for it — has mysteriously gone missing.

On the day

How the session plays out

Every round has a clear start and end, so the game fits an after-work slot as easily as a whole offsite evening. One way to run it:

17:00
Laptops closed, dossiers out

The last meeting ends and everyone gets their character: who they are, what they want, and whom they'd better not trust.

17:15
The incident lands

Press play — the narrator sets the scene and drops the case into the middle of your team event.

17:45
Rounds of one-on-ones

Each round hands every player a concrete task: question a colleague, trade a clue, protect a secret.

18:45
The accusation round

Everyone commits to a suspect and defends their theory in front of the team.

19:00
Reveal & debrief

The solution is read out, the culprit is unmasked — and the post-game debrief runs itself over pizza or drinks.

The times are one example — the 1–2, 2–3, and 3+ hour lengths in the wizard reshape the round structure to fit your slot.
